Location All over town!

It’s thicker than water, a moon, it curdles, it freezes, and won’t come from a stone. Blood holds an idiomatic power over our imaginations and daily lives. We associate it with grim reality and with horror; it is there at birth and at death. It’s unclean when it comes from a woman’s body, a symbol of trust when exchanged in a handshake. Bram Stoker knew how to manipulate blood’s potential to its most sensational and allegorical power and to celebrate Dracula, Guts Magazine will attempt the same.

In a special edition made for the Bram Stoker Festival Guts Magazine will look at the presence of blood through confessional writing and illustration.

Free copies of the special edition will be available in Dublin libraries and selected locations. More information on how to pick up your free copy will be available soon.

We also have a fang-tastic special event ‘Blood and Guts’ on Oct 31st in Fumbally Stables (map below), featuring writers from the issue and musical special guests Spudgun.  Full details at
