Help bring a Bram Stoker Bust to Dublin!

Help bring a Bram Stoker Bust to Dublin!

Monday 25th January

Calling all Bram Stoker fans! We’re very excited to spread the news about this exciting project to recognise and celebrate Bram’s contribution to Irish literature.

Noted sculptor Bryan Moore has previously crafted beautiful busts of H.P Lovecraft and Edgar Allen Poe, both of which now take pride of place in their hometowns. “Fans across the globe helped me to place busts of Lovecraft in Providence, Rhode Island and Poe to Boston, Massachusetts.  It seemed only fitting that Bram Stoker should return to the Emerald Isle and will be donated to the Dublin Writers Museum in Parnell Square.”Moore has launched a Kickstarter campaign to crowdfund the costs of the bust and will make a financial donation to Children’s Books Ireland.

Now, he has set his sights on bringing a bust of Bram Stoker to the Dublin Writers Museum.  “Placing a bust of Stoker here puts emphasis not only on his personality but also on his nationality” said Robert Nicholson, Curator of the Dublin Writers Museum. “Being born and bred a Dubliner was just as important to Stoker’s genius as it was to that of his contemporary and acquaintance, Oscar Wilde, and to many other writers born here on the cultural faultline.”

Read more about the project here or like the project’s Facebook Page and donate to the Kickstarter campaign here – hurry, there isn’t much time left. We’ll see you for the unveiling on May 26th!
