Volunteer with Bram Stoker Festival 2017

Volunteer with Bram Stoker Festival 2017

Friday 29th September

HAVE YOU EVER DANCED WITH THE DEVIL IN THE PALE MOONLIGHT..?

..I ask that of all my volunteers. Ireland’s very own ‘American Horror Story’ returns for it’s sixth season this October Bank Holiday Weekend (27th – 30th) with it’s own army of monsters, creature features, ghouls and ghosts – who for the 4 days of the festival roam the streets of Dublin City bringing to life all things Gothic to the unsuspecting public.

From ‘The Walking Dead’ to ‘The Theatre of Macarbe’ volunteers get involved in all aspects of the festival.  Behind the scenes, out front in the parades and ‘haunted’ venues, our volunteers work closely with the artists and public alike – from front of house to social media, from make-up & costume assistance to stewarding at our outdoor events – there is something for everyone keen to see what it takes to bring a festival of this size to the streets of Old Dublin.

This year sees everything from world premieres and new scores, to old revivals and immersive one-off interactive experiences, with both family friendly and adult scares – a truly ‘terrifyingly, infectious opportunity to being part of this bank holiday Carnival of Souls. Once bitten it is very hard to shake off this volunteering bug. SURRENDER AND JOIN OUR ARMY!!!

FOLLOW THE SONG OF THE SPIRITS – SIGN UP TO BE A MACNAS PARADE STEWARD

If you can’t volunteer for the full festival but you ache to give yourself over to the wild and tempestuous for one night only, then join our creepy crew of Macnas parade stewards.

Macnas, world-renowned pioneers of imagination and invention, are set to bring a hauntingly beautiful parade, Memory Song, through the broad and narrow streets of Dublin’s Northside. The city will be transfixed as the transcendental, the profane and the magical is unleashed.  Put yourself front and centre of the action, and release your inner spirits!
