Bram Stoker Festival 2024: Open Call Applications

The 2024 Open Call for Applications is now closed.

For four days and nights between Friday 25th and Monday 28th October 2024, Dublin City Council Bram Stoker Festival will present a programme of literary, cultural, contemporary and family events that will engage with a broad audience in celebration of Bram Stoker. Once again, we’re holding an open call for ideas for events and activities which may be included in the Dublin City Council Bram Stoker Festival 2024 programme. These ideas must have a real connection to or be thematically linked to Bram Stoker; his works, his life, his philosophy, Victorian Dublin, all things Gothic, the supernatural or the mysterious.

Dublin City Council Bram Stoker Festival is one of Dublin’s biggest multi-disciplinary arts festivals, with a broad audience of Dubliners that crosses all ages and backgrounds. They are excited to delve into the unknown, the supernatural and the Gothic. The timing of the festival typically coincides with Hallowe’en given the nature of Stoker’s work, so there is of course opportunity to present events which are rooted in the thrill of terror and the supernatural.

Our programme successfully mixes family-friendly adventures with late-night antics for mates, dates and everything in between and can include, but is not limited to; interactive art installations, music gigs, comedy, theatre, spoken word, themed parties, food-focused experiences, literary events, outdoor adventures for children, families or grownups, film screenings, exhibitions, talks and lots more; we want to thrill fun-seekers of all ages.

For all audiences, we celebrate the author and the traditions which inspired him and which have grown around the legacy of his work.

Applications for proposals closed on Monday 26 February at 6pm.

Thank you to everyone who submitted an application.
