Stokerland, our annual pop-up Victorian fun park, opens its Gothic Gates for families and the eternally young for three days this year: Saturday 29th, Sunday 30th and Monday 31st of October.
Free to enter and filled with deadly adventures for little monsters, each day will feature the macabre talents of world-class street performers alongside Victorian-inspired rides, free face-painting and a packed programme of performances, with olde-worlde games and hand-crafted decorations dotted and hidden throughout the grounds.
Every day at Stokerland features a different lineup of performers, so repeat visits are encouraged!
It’s time to gather round for spooky stories and tall tales! Join storyteller and actress Louise Conaghan, for this enchanting collection of fantastical tales. With her colourful yarns and bewitching book collection full of spooky stories this storytelling session will delight all ages.
It’s time to freak out for a spooktacular Halloween dance party! Dancer and choreographer Olwyn Lyons will lead a fun-filled, Halloween-inspired dance party for children, specially created for Stokerland. With spooky music and moves this is a dance party to dust the cobwebs off your dance shoes. Follow the moves with Olwyn and freak out to Halloween classics like Monster Mash,
Thriller, Let’s Do the Time Warp, Ghostbusters and more..Parents are also invited to join the fun!
Vincent Smiley and Samuel Veneer are a pair of infamous salesmen, masquerading as world-famous dentists. They travel from town-to-town trying to sell their “pearly- whites elixir”—a cure-all remedy that will eliminate the need to ever visit the dentist again. What happens when their plan fails and their façade falls…can these “greatest salesmen” survive to sell another day?
Come one and all to see the hilarious duo, Smiley & Veneer, perform their quirky street show jam-packed with song, dance, slapstick, comedy and live music, which will have you grinning from ear to ear! Smiley & Veneer will make you laugh so hard you’ll be picking up your false teeth from the floor!
As always, there’ll be great food to sink your fangs into; from fish and chips, to burgers and rice bowls and dumplings to crepes and Mexican delights, you won’t go hungry! The Tram Cafe in St. Patrick’s Park will also be open serving tea, coffee and delicious treats.

The Books and Browsables Market, which operates regularly in St. Patrick’s Park every Sunday, will be trading their wares on the Sunday at Stokerland.
Stokerland is the perfect way to entertain children aged 12 and under this October Bank Holiday weekend.
Admission to Stokerland is free but there are small charges for rides and food concessions to suit all budgets, but BYOPicnics are also encouraged! Fancy dress too!
Age Suitability: Suitable for families and children aged 12 and under. (Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent/guardian)
