Join Dacre Stoker, internationally-acclaimed author and great grandnephew of Bram Stoker, the literary maestro behind the timeless classic, Dracula. At this interactive literary workshop, you’ll unlock the secrets of Dracula’s creation, dissecting rare, replica papers borrowed from esteemed libraries and archives worldwide.

This rare opportunity to explore key documents has been curated to offer fascinating insights into Stoker’s research and his creative mind. By following the trail of clues, you’ll gain insights into the intricate connections between the papers, exposing the secrets of how Dracula came to life on the pages of this iconic novel.

Whether you’re an ardent fan of Dracula or a curious explorer of literary history, this exclusive chance to uncover this gothic masterpiece’s mysteries is not to be missed, and takes place in Dublin Castle where Stoker once worked. All participants will receive a commemorative reproduction document as a take home souvenir.

Age Suitability: 16+. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Duration: 60 mins per workshop

Latecomers: Latecomers will not be permitted as all instructions are given at the beginning of workshop.

Accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp to the Printworks Building just inside the Palace Street Gate entrance to Dublin Castle (beside Chez Max). There are cobblestones in the lower yard, but the main area surrounding the entrance to the Poddle Room is clear. The main steps into the venue have handrails.  All toilets within the venue are universally accessible.
